Our Work In Peru

GCG operates in the Peruvia highlands through ATEK.  ATEK in an acronym for Quechua literacy, the tribal dialect spoken by over 1,000,000 people in and around the former Inca empire capital of Cusco.  At this time ATEK has helped over 10,000 men and women to read and write in their native language.  They are also the nations leaders in developing religious materials taught in many rural schools, along with working with the ministry of education to train schools, parents and teachers of the dangers that exist with child abuse and sex trafficing.

The ministry is leading out with medical and dental clinics for those who would not have access without help.  Through this ministry many have come to know the love of Jesus and rural congregations are encouraged and many times  started in some of the most remote and difficult to access places {14,000-15,000 ft altitude} places on earth.  ATEK is led by Fredi and Judith Quintanilla.

GCG operates as Rios de Vida  in some of the most isolated parts of the amazon basin in Peru.  Currently RDV works in some form with several language groups who only have contact with the modern world by the amazon basin’s vast river networks.  One such location is close to 300 miles from another community with a school or communication. Many of these tribes have little interaction with what we would consider the modern world.   Rios de Vida is led by Octavio and Luz Taracaya.
